Neighborhood Ministry
In an effort to offer a personal welcome to newly registered parishioners and invite them to be an active part of parish life, we first make phone contact with new parishioners. During this friendly exchange, we offer to stop by or just drop off a small gift and/or the Parish Life Booklet. They may accept or decline; but after brief discussion, either over the phone or in person, we may even be able to connect them with or introduce them to someone in the parish, with whom they have similar interests. When appropriate, we invite them to participate in parish events in which we take part.
We also host 2 receptions, each year, to offer an opportunity for newer parishioners, parish leaders and active parishioners to meet.
Many areas are in need of representation. As a result, some new parishioners do not receive personal contact. St. Mark Parish covers many cities outside Norman, as well. If you would like to offer your natural charm and hospitality in support of this ministry, please, call Marcia Richards, 833-7676.

WELCOMING NEWLY REGISTERED PARISHIONERS
This ministy coordinates the monthly Doughnut Sunday with other groups within the parish.
We also coordinate a couple of pot-luck dinners each year to offer a fellowship opportunity for new parishioners as well as those that are not-so-new!
We are a large parish, which can be a little intimidating to newcomers. Would you like to help us extend a warm welcome to new parishioners? Pelase, call the parish office for information 366-7676.
