Training for Altar Servers is offered annually to youth from 4th grade and up. The Altar Serving Guide (PDF - 176 KB) is available for servers as a downloadable resource.

Attention: All Altar Servers
“Even if you, dear altar servers, can no longer fit into your baptismal gown, you have put on [the clothing] of altar servers. Yes, baptism is the point of departure of your “authentic liturgical service,” which places you next to your bishops, priests and deacons.”
These words were spoken by Pope John Paul II during an address to altar servers from around the world that gathered in Rome in 2001.

Whether you are currently an altar server or wish to become one, you must attend an Altar Server Workshop each year. The only requirements are that the server is a baptized Catholic and is going into the 4th Grade and up.
